Conversations with My Dog is a tale for those who love to seek new adventures and the promise of following their dreams, or nose, into the unknown.
In a fast-paced world, driven by material achievement and the fear of loss; clarity can seem hard to find. Sometimes answers can come from the most surprising sources. When I found myself confronted with challenges, I discovered, to my surprise, that wisdom came not from a philosophical master or spiritual guide, but my puppy named Monty. On the road with him, I learned to stop and ask him questions. He answered through demonstrating the values of simplicity, fun and love of exploration.
This description of the conversations that developed between us is a tale about rediscovering direction in life. It gives a light-hearted, gently thought-provoking account of the bigger journey of working out how to live.
The search for the way ahead is the metaphor that illustrates the eternal bond of loyalty between a dog and it’s human and makes this tale transcend normal conversation.
“Even when we are in small bodies, we have big spirits.” replied my wise four legged friend, to my questions about life.
“The very young always know why they are here. Because they haven’t forgotten. Sometimes life muddles things up with too many thoughts. But the heart is ageless.”
My illustrations were created from directly from sketches I made of Monty on our travels. These drawings provide a visual tapestry, depicting our journey together to inspire readers in finding their own path.
Conversations with My Dog is an ideal companion for people considering significant change or embarking on a new direction, however uncertain, or even just searching for a little extra companionship and inspiration

Reviews
".The conversations in this book are so real when reading the book I felt I was there with them and I loved that feeling."

This is a delightful read ! The author writes in a style that really makes her dog, ' Monty,' come to life as a friend that is always there and can be relied upon. Importantly, Monty advises us to stop, breath and appreciate how good the simple things in life are and forget about ' running with the pack.' The book also has lovely illustrations that are completely appropriate to the spirit of the narrative. In this age of reliance on social media and the boring cult of celebrity, this work reminds us of the most important thing in life, be yourself and be happy with it.
I thoroughly recommend this book."

I grew up inspired by a deep love of wild nature and a passion for books. Some of my earliest memories are of learning to read. I wrote stories as soon as I could put words onto pages and used to write and draw on folded sheets of paper, imagining them as books. This was the beginning of my lifelong love of writing, painting and illustrating.
I first began working to commission as an artist while still a teenager and continued with a focus upon subject matter that reveals the depth of beauty in the natural world. Having successfully pursued other professional paths for some time, I was prompted by my love of nature, to return to writing and art full time, to create books and art that inspire others. Illustrating my own books was a natural progression that allows me to add visual depth to the written word. Combining both I can make storytelling a more multi-faceted experience for the reader.
I live in the UK with my dog Monty, where I travel with him at my side in search of new stories to tell that portray the magic of the wild, natural world. Together we have various creative projects planned, including forthcoming books.
